Dan is author of “Flat Army: Creating a Connected and Engaged Organization” and is currently at work on the follow-up book. He is Chief Envisioner of TELUS Transformation Office; a group that helps organizations enhance their corporate culture, leadership, learning, work styles & collaboration practices.
Previously, as Head of Learning & Collaboration at TELUS, Dan was responsible for the overarching learning, collaboration & leadership development strategy for the company. Dan championed the introduction of the TELUS Leadership Philosophy (TLP), an open and collaborative-based leadership framework for all 40,000+ TELUS team members. In parallel to these actions he drove a philosophical and cultural shift in the way TELUS views and experiences learning called “Learning 2.0”; the shift to a social, informal and formal learning and collaboration model bringing TELUS to the forefront of connected learning and leading. He further championed the use and deployment of collaborative technologies to complement both the learning and leadership frameworks. Between 2008 and 2013, employee engagement at TELUS soared from 53% to 83%.
Dan is a passionate leader in the leadership & social collaboration technology spaces and is uniquely skilled to ensure an organization can move from traditional cultures to healthier ways of working.
His career is interwoven with both corporate and academic experience, coupled with an MBA, B.Ed and multiple industry certifications and accreditations. Dan is also a renowned speaker and has been invited to deliver over 40 external keynotes and presentations since 2009, including a TEDx Talk.
In 2012 he appeared on the front cover of T+D Magazine and Chief Learning Officer Magazine. His book, Flat Army, has been reviewed in both Forbes and The Globe and Mail and sat on the Amazon.com best sellers list in leadership.
In 2010, Dan was acknowledged by CLO as a ‘Vanguard Award’ winner and is a 2-time winner by the Corporate University Best in Class Awards of the ‘Leader of the Year’ in both 2010 and 2011. In 2012, SkillSoft awarded Dan the ‘Learning Leader of the Year’ for his work at TELUS and CLO Magazine bestowed the ‘Learning in Practice Innovation Award’ as well. He is also the recipient of the 2012 Brandon-Hall ‘Gold Award in Strategy & Governance’. In 2013, his team became an 8-time winner of the prestigious ‘ASTD BEST’ award. Also in 2013, TELUS placed #6 globally in the Learning! 100 Awards.
He was recruited into TELUS in Q4 of 2008, previously holding senior positions with SAP, Business Objects, Crystal Decisions and the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).

Greg is currently the Manager of Customer Strategy and Projects with BC Hydro as part of the Customer Care and Communications teams. He is accountable for BC Hydro’s customer and digital strategies, and works across a number of lines of business to develop integrated solutions to meet their enterprise-wide needs.
He has held the positions of Manager of Digital Communications and Manager of Community Outreach and Marketing. During his career with BC Hydro, he has played a lead role in developing BC Hydro’s web, mobile, social, and e-mail channels, supported broad integrated marketing campaigns, spearheaded numerous award winning interactive digital solutions, activated the 2010 Olympic Winter Games sponsorship, and created a business support framework through multi-channel metrics development. He has also led demand-side management partnerships as a Business Development Manager in Power Smart residential marketing, where he contributed to evolving our retail partnerships and support DSM programs in market.
Greg has over 15 years of management experience and has worked with utilities, including BC Hydro and TELUS for the last 9 years. His full career has contained a strong technology backdrop and Greg has operated within the customer and digital spaces for almost two decades. He is also a facilitator, and participates in speaking engagements on topics related to emerging digital trends, effective communications strategies, and change management.
Outside of the office, Greg is a professional Scuba diver with a divemaster designation, an active video blogger, and owner of un-ordinary.com; he also owns a small consulting company, Yew Consulting Services Inc.
As Senior Vice President of Product Development, Arun oversees the development and delivery of Adobe’s Marketing Cloud, which includes market-leading solutions for analytics, content management, social, advertising, personalization, and campaign management.
Adobe Marketing Cloud helps customers deliver real-time personalized experiences across channels by leveraging a core platform that provides data and content services. Arun oversees a distribution team that includes engineering, cloud operations, and product delivery for Adobe Marketing Cloud. Arun also has general management responsibilities for Adobe’s Connect and LiveCycle businesses.
Arun brings over 25 years of product development experience, delivering award-winning products targeted at both enterprise and consumer segments. Prior to Adobe, Arun was Vice President of Engineering at NetObjects, a web design software provider. Arun holds a B.Tech from I.I.T. Madras, an MS in computer engineering from North Carolina State University, and an MBA from San Jose State University.
Samantha Liscio, Ph.D.
Samantha is a Managing Director, IT Strategy, at Accenture in Toronto, Canada, and is currently leading the Enterprise Architecture and Application Strategy practice for Health and Public Sector clients in North America. As an experienced strategist with a public sector executive background, Samantha focuses on large-scale business and IT transformation programs, helping clients address business imperatives of improved agility and customer-centricity while reducing costs.
Samantha spent the last 12 years in the public sector in Canada, most recently, as the Corporate Chief Strategist in the Ontario Public Service. There she defined the strategic plan for the 5,000 person IT organization focusing on tangible business outcomes, an IT operating model, and investing in innovation.
As a prior line of business CIO, Samantha delivered key transformation initiatives, including Ontario taxes online and the Ontario infrastructure stimulus tracking portal, and also oversaw increases in employee engagement and client satisfaction.
Samantha has been a member of the Board of Directors of the CIO Association of Canada and the Institute for Citizen Centred Service, has contributed articles to IT industry publications, and has spoken nationally and internationally on topics such as cloud computing, big data and analytics, open data, and shared services.
Samantha earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a Ph.D. from Queen’s University in Belfast. She is also an accredited Project Management Professional.
